Like every December, Pantone announced their new colour for the upcoming year. Following Radiant Orchid in 2014 and Emerald Green in 2013, the winning “it” colour for 2015 is… Marsala – a deep reddish-brown similar to a red wine. As earthy colours seem to be taking over in 2015, perhaps Marsala is very fitting adding sumptuous warm tones to our home decoration and wardrobes. Marsala is an interesting choice as it can be interpreted as authoritative and sophisticated as well as vintage, reminding us of the 70s era, so there are many ways that this colour can be perceived.
