How did you get into the world of jewellery?
I had a lucky childhood, surrounded by jewellery thanks to my father, who always has been and still is a retail jeweller in the UK. But I ended up being more on the creative side.
What does Paves offer that other jewellery companies don’t?
First of all, no pushiness, in an easy and comfortable atmosphere, and we do anything we can to please clients. But most of all creating magnificent jewellery, large or small, and carrying out repairs or just polishing. Our services are endless. We have an in-house design studio with experienced designers, four incredibly talented goldsmiths and “me” – all under the same roof.
What are the latest trends in jewellery…
Jewellery is changing remarkably. People do not want to worry about their belongings, and they are seeking more wearable jewellery for daily purposes rather than having to leave them in the bank and never getting to wear them.

Tell us more about your newly-refurbished showroom…
Well, after my first extension seven years ago I said never again, but you know the saying, “never say never”. This time I really went for it, adding an extra 100 square metres to our existing 60 square metres to fulfil my wishes of having all my staff under the same roof. We are all extremely pleased to be working in such a relaxed ambience that oozes creativity from every corner of the shop and studio.
In conclusion…
One of our specialities is changing old unworn jewellery into new, classy, updated wearable pieces. I would say I am a very traditional jeweller with a contemporary twist, and a perfectionist needing everything to be manufactured to the highest standards.
