DON’T THROW AWAY… UPHOLSTER INSTEAD!
Many of us have now veered away from the throwaway culture, when furniture items look tired or out-of-date, and upholstering is a much more resourceful option – especially if you use an ecological fabric in order to do so. Uphol stery fabric is heavier than regular fabric, as it should pass the double-rub count (meaning that it is abrasion-resistant), and it should be easy to clean, fire-retardant and, of course, aesthetically beautiful. Upholstering allows you to put your own design stamp on a piece of furniture. However, if the thought of tackling an armchair or sofa is too daunting, consider re-covering your cushions, as surprisingly this can be quite transformational.
