CHEZ MAX RESTAURANT
This winter, lovers of fine dining can enjoy Chez Max’s international menu with a French-Belgian focus, while enjoying uninterrupted panoramic views of the Mediterranean.
Chez Max’s menu is well balanced to appeal to all tastebuds. The selection is quite luxurious but the prices are reasonable, with generous portions.
Chefs Miguel, Tony and Marc are an inventive trio in the kitchen, with many years of experience. All classically trained, they are experimental and passionate about their profession, fusing different ingredients together that marry perfectly.
Every Sunday Chez Max organise their “Crazy Sundays” where they offer 15 per cent off all food. There is also a daily menu at €22 where you can choose between two starters, a main course and a dessert; or a menu at €28 offering a choice of three starters, a main course and a dessert.
Starters include salmon and king prawn tartare, frogs’ legs, homemade duck foie gras in pistachio, lobster croquettes and half lobster Bellevue. Main course dishes include Iberian pork sirloin in shallots and white wine, Belgian sole fillets “Dieppe” style, and sirloin steak with chips and salad.
All of their desserts are made from scratch, including crepes with sugar, lemon or chocolate, Dame Blanche, special Belgian ice cream and pavlova with strawberries and cream.
Carl has acquired some very special wines that he sells at excellent prices, such as Creu de Lavit white wine at just €22 and, in the reds, El Arte de Vivir Ribera del Duero (€20), Lacrimus Rioja (€22) and Pago de Carraovejas Ribera del Duero (€35).
Chez Max are open from Thursday until Sunday until 5 January, when they will close for one of the restaurant’s biggest reformations ever. Owner Carl has exciting plans to build an impressive beach club with a large pool and bar area, and an elevator taking guests up to a fitness area looking out over the Mediterranean.
