Charming ambience with a delightful touch of eccentricity

Beata’s Vino y Mar restaurant in Aloha opened its doors in June offering a wide range of international tapas as well as salads, steaks, fish and seafood dishes at extremely reasonable prices.
Beata is Polish and quite a character. Already the owner of two successful restaurants, one in Poznan in Poland and another in Berlin (Germany), Beata has extensive experience in running restaurants. Home & Lifestyle Magazine was invited to the Marbella establishment to take a look around and try out some of their dishes…

The restaurant is located where the old Aloha Café used to be in Nueva Andalucía, and to enter you need to go up some steps – where we were greeted by Beata with open arms on a delightful terrace. We were immediately impressed by stunning views over the valley which are unsurpassed by any of their neighbouring restaurants.
The décor is rustic and, like Beata, a little eccentric, with wooden chairs and tables that have all been restored from second-hand items adding a certain charm to the place. Inside there are more tables with a bar and an interesting collection of wines, together with a random German ham slicer which Beata calls her “Rolls Royce”.

We were treated to various dishes from their tapas menu, ranging from traditional Spanish delicacies such as fried whitebait and Iberian ham to Polish delicacies including ravioli stuffed with mixed mincemeat. Beata’s Vino y Mar is perfect for both a quick snack or a more substantial meal as the menu is extremely varied. The perfect time to visit would be just before sunset as the views really come into their own around then.
