The ARK team has one mission: to create experiences that transcend through each of our projects, becoming a masterpiece that people can enjoy. In this article we would like to show you what makes us different as a team during the process of creating a villa on the Costa del Sol. There are many key factors that contribute to success along the design journey. On the one hand, an enthusiastic team and on the other hand, high-quality suppliers. It does not only consist of designing a house: it is about landscaping, furnishing and a mix of elements in order to create a home, a sanctuary. This is the reason why all elements of the project are designed by us, and we keep an eye on each stage. In addition, as a result of our awareness about energy consumption and the carbon footprint, we consider it our duty to build houses in a sustainable way using the resources provided by an amazing location such as the Costa del Sol. Besides, technology has made houses smarter and has facilitated people’s lives. Also, we want to promote both the energy-saving culture and design innovation for domotic homes. That is why we believe that this tandem is essential in order to offer a complete experience. For us it is meaningful not only to build, but also to reflect our customer’s identity in each detail. We conceive our projects as an extension of our customers in order to reflect their tastes and thoughts, because we know how to put ourselves in other people’s shoes. Our customers confide in us thanks to our strong background – more than 30 years of experience – in the luxury sector. Our work proves that art and spirituality are experiences that can be materialised through architecture and design.

Villa Mozart
Imposing volumes emerge on a plot in the hills of the prestigious Sierra Blanca urbanisation in Marbella. Winning views of the Mediterranean Sea are one of the special features of this picture-perfect villa. A state-of-the-art living sculpture where appealing geometry meets undeniable sophistication, resulting in a masterfully crafted house. Scrupulously focused on elegance and functionality, the villa’s overall aesthetics have an outstanding individual character. Purity and unexpected contrasts, fine materials and intricate details create the personality of this home. Cosy and intimate spaces become open and airy thank to the floor-to-ceiling windowed living areas. White concrete walls formalise the spaces, always with stone accents re-covering fireplaces or TV walls. The ground floor is highlighted by a magnificent entrance hall, with twin staircases to the first level and to the basement, and opening onto a spacious living room with access to a covered terrace with stairs leading to the garden and pool. Next to this living room is a huge kitchen, the dining area and an auxiliary sitting area. On the first floor is the master bedroom with a private terrace. In addition, a further two bedroom suites with dressing rooms and private bathrooms are located on this level. The basement level features a professional gym, wine cellar, games and chill-out room, sauna and steam room, home cinema, three to four-car garage and staff apartment. The other special feature of this architectural piece is the swimming pool on the roof floor, which blends with the horizon, creating an awesome place to contemplate the captivating surrounding landscape and Mediterranean Sea.

Villa Agora
The idea behind Villa Ágora started with the goal of creating a major space to resolve the necessities and relationships of its inhabitants. The house is located in the prestigious Sotogrande (Cádiz province) area and is abstracted from its nearby environment thanks to natural barriers which provide the inhabitants with a high level of privacy. A luxury house projected with a vanguard style and extremely depurated volumes that allude to the white Mediterranean architecture. The main façade is linked to the garden through some asymmetrically composed volumes, and it features a spectacular covered porch that allows people to pursue most of their daily routines outside. In front of it there is a fabulous pool that looks like a water sheet integrated into the landscape. Peace and calm flow together inside the building. Every space creates an ambience designed with the same aesthetics. There is nothing left to randomness and every element contributes to comfort and warmth.

This stunning modern villa, located in the hills of La Zagaleta, sets the bar even higher for luxury residences on the Costa del Sol. Essentialised architecture, a review and exploration of historic archetypes and classicist principles adapted to the times and needs of contemporary life… The outcome is a modern and elegant masterpiece with exceptional panoramic views of the Mediterranean coast and the mountains from every corner. This is the result of wide openings towards the sea from its main elevation, in contrast to the privacy provided by the rest of the facades, including the house’s entrance. Occupying a 5,000 square metre plot just below the top ridge of the prestigious La Zagaleta estate in Benahavís, Heaven 11 has a built area of over 2,300 square metres on three levels, plus an additional 330 square metres of terraces. The entry level features a dramatic hallway, with twin staircases and lift, opening onto a huge living room with uninterrupted views to the sea. Adjacent there is a second sitting room, dining room and kitchen. An open floor plan enhances the airy feeling and the loft impression. There are also two en-suite rooms on the main floor. Luxury finishes magnify each room. Upstairs, the palatial master bedroom has its own living room, dressing area and elegant bathroom. Downstairs, there is a state-of-the-art entertainment floor, with bar and lounge area, indoor infinity pool, cinema, gym, wine cellar, office and enough garage space for a car collection. The extensive gardens are fully landscaped with Mediterranean species and the terrace by the outdoor pool and jacuzzi has a chill-out and barbecue area at hand.

The majestic elegance of this villa located in Sotogrande is accentuated by an imposing composition of pure volumes, which are deliberately closed in three of their faces in order to provide privacy to the house, while opening expansively towards the garden and the landscape. Up-to-date aesthetics based on classicist postulates create a perfect balance between tradition and modernity, and an exclusive contemporary dimension. The layout of the project, specially designed for a Mediterranean lifestyle, enables the house to be opened up and “breath” day and night, and allows people to be “inside while being outside”, thank to the massive and pillar-clear covered terraces. The outside of the house is clearly defined by horizontal lines and great roof extensions that frame the façade with pure and depurated shapes. The light reflects the whites and transmits calm and serenity. Inside, the large crystal façades enable the house to become flooded with comfortable light that enters perfectly controlled by the horizontal volumes of the balconies. This duality balances the relationship between the inside and the outside of the house.
