BATHROOMS, BEDROOMS AND OF COURSE… THE KITCHEN ROOM
Established in 2004, The Kitchen Room in Estepona has stood its ground through a wavering global economy. Home & Lifestyle recently visited the showroom to gain an insight into their success and discovered that a large part of the business also specialises in bathrooms, bedrooms and total renovation projects.
“I think one major reason our company is still here after more than 8 years, even in an economic climate that has hit this industry hard, is our staff, customer service and client satisfaction.” says Ian. “We’re a higher-end showroom for our product quality, but we’re structured to help people meet their budgets and with the assurance of guarantees and warranties. Our suppliers are well-established, internationally recognised brands — Symphony Kitchens, Nobilia Kitchens, Falcon Rangemaster, Neff, Bosch, Siemens and Franke to name a few — and our excellent relationship with suppliers enable us to give our clients not only the confidence they need in our business, but also reassurance that the products we sell have the backing of the manufacturer.”
Rebecca provides the designing and planning service and along with the personable and knowledgeable sales approach at The Kitchen Room, which ranges from new bathrooms and kitchens to major renovations, this friendly company is carefully structured to meet every client’s requirement. “Our job is not to impose our style on people, but to let individuals express their own style without making mistakes,” says Rebecca. “I regularly attend residential training courses with our suppliers to keep me informed on the latest products and developments in the market. During a recent major project in Madrid, supplier Symphony were so interested in the scale of the project that their overseas export manager flew over to observe and report back on Symphony’s new product being used for the first time in Spain.
The Kitchen Room’s commitment to excellence continues after the contract, planning and design stage. From the management of the building team and delivery to the timing and completion of the project, Director Andrew Mitchell’s task is just beginning. “I quite often take my work home with me to ensure that I fully understand the client’s requirements and to scrutinise the finalised plans so that I know where every nut and bolt is going. My standards, and those of my staff and suppliers are high, and when not on-site, I am constantly emailing clients with project updates, regular reports and photos of the work in progress. I believe that’s why virtually 99 percent of our business is word of mouth. I make sure our clients get fair pricing and the best quality for their money because they trust us to do that.”
Success really does comes down to three things — customer service, client satisfaction and quality.
