Hibiscus Bistronomique

Hibiscus Bistronomique restaurant is a real breath of fresh air for the modern day Marbella foodie. Located right in the heart of Marbella and opened this summer, its concept is a contemporary twist on the traditional, offering affordable gastronomy in a creative style.
The service is second-to-none and each dish has been well thought-out. Everything is made on the premises, using good quality fresh food that has been bought from the local markets that same morning.

Young owners Antoine Arrion and Virginia Hart are warm and friendly and, with Antoine’s experience in hotel management in Belgium and Virginia’s interior design flair, the couple’s skills have combined to make a truly enchanting bistro.

The menu is a real fusion from various countries around the world, with the likes of prawn lollipops with a sweet chilli sauce and wasabi, Canarian cheese, oxtail burger, foie gras, ceviche, fresh salmon or tuna tartar, juicy steaks, salads… and more. The portions are ideal for sharing, which is recommended in order to try as many dishes as possible. Or enjoy their menu of the day: a starter, main course, dessert and glass of wine for just €9.50.

There is a bar area – where guests are welcome to pop in for a quick drink and a tapa – which merges into the main restaurant area. There are tall tables for casual tapas-style dining and lower tables for more formal seating, though there is a generally relaxed feel throughout. In the far corner there is a lovely little bodega area where you can dine and truly feel you are sitting in a bistro. If you would rather take in the buzz of cosmopolitan Marbella’s streets, you can sit outside under shelter at the front of the restaurant.
