Owner José María Sanz had long dreamed of creating a multi-purpose venue in a prestigious environment offering premium quality food and drinks. A place where clients could enjoy anything from an organic breakfast and snacks to sumptuous cuisine and exquisite cocktails…
Now that dream has become a reality: Palmyra opened its doors to the public in May with a lavish party for VIPs and other distinguished guests from Marbella’s high society. Located close to the beach, this stunning new entertainment and dining establishment offers an extensive range of options from 9am to late at night. The elegant décor, by Spacio Interior, is divided into different areas: two terraces, a lounge area, a tearoom, a bar and separate dining areas. The restaurant even has its own shop offering such products as jewellery, furniture, and a variety of tea and beach hats and bags.
Renowned chefs prepare a wide selection of tasting menus that include the best products from Spain and other countries. The portions are slightly bigger than tapas, which gives diners the opportunity of trying various dishes… refined food which is also well priced.
We enjoyed some superb creations, including caramelised pineapple with goat’s cheese filling, a mini timbale of fried eggs, baby vegetables with Iberian ham, a tournedos with foie gras, sushi and black risotto.
The cocktail bar is also an important part of Palmyra. Here guests will find a large selection of the finest wines and delicious cocktails, prepared by highly professional bartenders. On Thursdays there is live music, including blues, jazz and bossa nova.
In short, Palmyra is a hugely welcome new addition to downtown Marbella’s social life.
