Enhancing Living Spaces

At Victoria Design Furniture, their mission is simple: “to deliver the best furniture and service at every opportunity”. To that end, quality is the foundation of their business, from top quality fabrics and frames to an expert customer service team.

They believe that new furniture is an investment that should enhance the living environment while optimising how we use our valuable floor space. Their aim is to “provide you with the best furniture purchasing experience in the industry” and – backing these words with action – they add that, if anyone can find the same furniture on the Coast for less, “we will beat it by 10 per cent”.

VDF’s new showroom is on the Mijas-Fuengirola road at Km. 5.5.

Marbella will become the focal point of Spanish gourmet cuisine in November when the city hosts the glittering official gala presentation of the 2015 Michelin Guide. In previous years only Madrid, Barcelona and the Basque Country have hosted the event, which brings together all Spain’s two and three-star Michelin chefs, including Marbella’s own Dani García – who attended the official press launch in July and will also be overseeing the menu for the gala.

The gala presentation will be held at the Los Monteros Hotel on 9 November. Marbella has two other one-star Michelin restaurants, El Lago and Skina, while there is a fourth in Málaga province, José Carlos García, located in the city’s Muelle Uno portside setting.

In other Costa Women news, in July members celebrated their third annual summer party at Miraflores Restaurant, where the night raised €1,200 for the Danii Cancer Charity.

Danii Toni (now 18) set up her charity after being diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma in 2011. She endured six cycles of chemotherapy, a major back operation to eradicate the source of the primary cancer and a bone marrow transplant. During her treatment, she saw how many families struggled to support children with cancer, and she decided to set up the Danii Children’s Cancer Charity in 2012. It has already raised over €75,000, which has helped families with financial support and purchased vital equipment for the children’s oncology unit at Virgen Del Rocío Hospital, where Danii was treated, while also helping children’s dreams come true on trips of a lifetime.
