The five-star, “adults-only” Hacienda del Conde ticks both boxes: it is lo cated in the Canary island’s rustic north-eastern Isla Baja area, bordering a protected nature park, and was formerly a farm ranch dating to the mid 18th century. Subsequently, it was transformed into a modern hotel with 117 luxury suites, its own market garden, a golf course designed by Severiano Balles teros, a croquet lawn, a spa and wellness centre and, most recently, a new haute cuisine restaurant, the Salazar.

Each of its suites offers an elegant interior design, distributed in different buildings and at varying heights, reminiscent of a typical village featur ing architecture that represents the valley’s traditional manor houses, with white-washed walls and earth tones enriched by coffered ceilings in stone and wood. The farm was once the base of the area’s agricultural wealth, home to fields of sugar cane, grape vines and bananas.
